My interest in health and wellness began during my high school years in Corpus Christi where I was the student athletic trainer for various sports teams.
I then chose to attend TCU in Ft. Worth, because it offered the best program in Texas for sports medicine and athletic training.
I traveled all over the country with the TCU football and men’s and women’s track teams, tending to the sports injuries of their athletes. I received my degree in Secondary Education, with the teaching specialties of health and physical education, with an endorsement in athletic training. I spent 10 years teaching health and Physical Education in the Ft. Worth area while I was also full time athletic trainer for their sports teams.
Ready for a little adventure, I moved to Tempe, Arizona, where I was employed by a group of orthopedic surgeons and worked along side a physical therapist at Arizona State in their athletic department. Then back to Ft. Worth, where I developed and ran an innovative Health Occupations Program for high school students.
I moved to Austin, ready to pursue personal training. I soon started my own business, Studio G. I have been enjoying offering elite personal training ever since.
My varied background in teaching and sports medicine positions me to offer my clients the most personalized approach to working with their challenges, and meeting their goals.
