What is Myofascia?
Myo is a prefix denoting a relationship to muscle.
Fascia is connective tissue which spreads throughout the body in a 3 dimensional web from your head to your feet without interruption. It surrounds and infuses every nerve, muscle, comma, blood vessel, bone and organ in the body.
A trauma such as a fall, accident, surgery, repetitive stress and strain, and habitual poor posture can create a binding down of fascia, eventually resulting in pain and loss of normal functioning.
What is Myofascial Release?
Myofascial Release is a very effective hands on technique which provides gentle sustained pressure into soft tissue tightness in order to “unbind” or “unglue” fascial restrictions, eliminating pain at its source.
